Palermo's Martian Anomalies A Study of MOC Flow Images Very Dark Flows |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
This flow image (m1501460c) shows an almost black flow. This is not due to any contrast adjustment because one can still make out very faint gray flows in the immediate area. This is very mysterious. What would cause such a dark emission? Some have suggested some type of oil, but at the very very cold tempartaures of Mars, oil would not be viscous enough to flow downhill. Hopefully the upcoming Mars Odyssey will target these areas and study them. |
