On a desert vast and plain sits one flower
in a cup of oasis drowned by parched sand,
wonders if it will ever find another
it's petals drooping like a tired hand.
In an ocean vast, deep wet and cold
a watery flower sighs for warm sun,
down below a darkness that drains a soul
up above a brightness teases and runs.
In between the two worlds a fairy with a basket on each knee
flies from flower to flower like a celestial bee,
pollen sparkles like grains of sand and gold
creates seeds with stories to be told.
